The Hino 358 has been optimized for heavy duty service. A 14,000 lb. front axle, 23,000 lb. rear axle, combined with a standard 120,000 psi heavy duty frame and standard driver-controlled locking rear differential makes the Hino 358 ideal for delivering heavy loads where maximum frame strength and traction are required. The standard full air, S-cam type drum braking system provides reliable and effective braking.
The 358 is powered by Hino's 260 hp, 7.6L 6-cylinder, turbocharged, diesel engine with 660 lb.-ft. of torque and is available with a heavy-duty Allison 3000RDS 6-speed automatic transmission with PTO capability. The 358 is offered with spring or Hendrickson rear air suspensions.

Hino offers a "clean chassis" as standard for the 2020 358 model. With nothing mounted to the outside of the frame rails behind the cab, the clean chassis configuration is ideal for beverage body applications and for moving vans.
